About the Vacmaster Power 30 PTO Wet and Dry Vacuum

The Vacmaster Power 30 PTO is a tough wet and dry vacuum built around a 30-litre stainless steel tank and a 1500 W bypass motor. Fit the foam filter and it picks up standing water, leaks and spills. Swap to the cartridge filter and dust bag and it clears dust and debris from strip-out work.

When the tank is full of water, the screw-fit drain plug lets you empty it without lifting the whole machine. The power take-off socket means you can plug a power tool straight into the vacuum, so it starts and stops automatically with the tool.

Best for

  • Clearing standing water from floors after a leak
  • Picking up water from carpets and hard floors
  • Cleaning up debris during strip-out
  • Workshops, garages and outbuildings

Questions about the Vacmaster Power 30 PTO Wet and Dry Vacuum

Can it pick up water?+

Yes. Fit the foam filter, remove the dust bag, and it will pick up water into the 30-litre tank. Empty it through the drain plug.

Is it enough for a flooded room?+

It is ideal for standing water, leaks and smaller areas. For larger volumes, call us and we will advise the best approach.

Can I use it for dust and debris?+

Yes, with the cartridge filter and dust bag fitted. It is not a dust-class extractor, so it should not be used for concrete grinding or other fine hazardous dust.

What is the power take-off socket for?+

Plug a power tool into it and the vacuum starts automatically when you use the tool, collecting dust as you work. A universal power tool adaptor is supplied.

Do you deliver and collect?+

Yes. We deliver and collect across Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath, Bristol, Somerset and north Dorset, within roughly an hour of Trowbridge. We can set the machine up for you, or drop it off with instructions.

How long can I hire it for?+

By the day or by the week. Weekly hire works out cheaper, and most drying jobs need at least a week. Call us and we will advise how long your job is likely to take.

How much does it cost to hire?+

Call 07971 435221 or send an enquiry and we will give you a price for your dates, including delivery.

Is the machine checked before it goes out?+

Yes. Every machine is checked before each hire.

What if it stops working during the hire?+

Switch it off at the wall and call us. We will talk you through it or swap the machine.

Can you do the job for me instead?+

Yes. We handle the whole job, from drying and strip-out through to repairs and reinstatement. Call 07971 435221 to talk it through. Flood damage repairs

Safety information

General safety – tools and cleaning equipment

  • Read the operating instructions supplied before use. If you have not used this type of equipment before, ask us to show you how it works when we deliver it.
  • Wear the right protection for the job: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and safety boots, and a suitable dust mask wherever dust is created.
  • Check leads, plugs, hoses and blades before each use. Do not use anything that is damaged.
  • Use an RCD-protected supply. On 110V, use a correctly rated site transformer.
  • Keep power leads away from water, blades and moving parts, and route them so they are not a trip hazard.
  • Switch off and unplug (or remove the battery) before changing blades, filters or accessories, and before cleaning or moving the equipment.
  • Flood water can contain sewage and chemicals. Wear gloves, wash your hands after use, and do not eat or drink in the work area.
  • Where electrics may have been affected by flood water, do not use any sockets until they have been checked by a qualified electrician.
  • Keep children and pets away from the work area.
  • If the equipment makes an unusual noise, smells of burning or stops working, switch it off and call us on 07971 435221. Do not open the casing or attempt repairs.

Specific to this unit

  • Always fit the foam filter and remove the dust bag before picking up water.
  • A full tank of water weighs around 30 kg. Empty it through the drain plug rather than lifting the machine.
  • Do not vacuum flammable liquids, hot ash or anything that is burning.
  • This is not a dust-class extractor. Do not use it for concrete grinding dust or other fine hazardous dust.
  • Keep the plug and cable out of water at all times.
